Have you ever been to a traditional Scottish wedding and wondered what the groom was wearing? Most of us are able to recognise a traditional kilt but do you know what a sporran or sgian dubh is?
Thanks to the guys at Scotire, there is now an infographic which outlines all items of a formal highland dress outfit with interesting facts for each. For example, the Sgian Dubh (small knife) is traditionally placed on your dominate side in case you need to quickly use it to protect yourself. Other items, such as the dress sporran (which is placed at the front of the kilt) are usually made from animal hides like bovine or pony.
